Are there existing items in those spaces that we need to work around?

How do you actually live in your home on a day-to-day basis? (For example: do you cook frequently, do you watch TV in the living room or bedroom, do you eat at the dining table or in the kitchen, what does your morning and evening routine look like?)

Do you work from home? If so, do you need a dedicated workspace?

What do you find most challenging about your current space?

Are there any specific storage needs we should plan for? (Closets, built-ins, pantry, media, hobby supplies, etc.)

Are there any items you're emotionally attached to and absolutely must keep, regardless of the design direction?

How do you want your space(s) to feel?

What are your favorite colors/patterns in a home or office? Are you drawn to bright, neutral, warm, or cool colors?

What are your least favorite colors/patterns in a home or office?

Are you drawn to any specific materials, textures, or finishes? (Wood tones, metals, stone, fabrics, leather, etc.)

How do you feel about maintenance? Are you willing to care for high-maintenance materials (natural stone, delicate fabrics, polished metals) or do you prefer low-maintenance, durable options?

Do you have any Pinterest boards, Instagram saves, or Houzz ideabooks you'd like to share with us? Even if they're not exactly what you're going for, they help us understand your eye. If so, you can email those links.

Would you prefer the space(s) to be formal, informal, or a combination of both?

Do you have children, grandchildren, or pets that will have access to your space?

Do we need to be mindful of any special needs or accommodations for your space?

What are your favorite hobbies/areas of interest? What inspires you? How about the rest of your family or staff?

Will you spend a lot of time in this space?

Will this space be more private or will you host gatherings/entertain or receive clients in this space?

What is your favorite design style? (ie. Traditional, Modern, Eclectic, Transitional, Mid-Century Modern, Minimalist, Neoclassic, etc.)? If you are not sure of terminology, that is okay. You can email 2 to 3 images of spaces that you love instead.

Are there areas of your project where you're comfortable investing more, and areas where you'd prefer to hold back? This helps us prioritize where it matters most to you.
