Your Home, Your Sanctuary

My love language is “words of encouragement”.

If you have read the book “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman, then you will know what I mean.

As a designer, it is important for me to incorporate items that inspire each individual client. For me, inspirational quotes and verses are a must in my home.

I absolutely love filling my home with encouraging words, From favorite quotes to old poems written by my grandfather, they remind me to keep going. I keep these type of treasures in various places throughout my home as a way to surround myself with beautiful words and statements.

These beautiful words encourage me to keep growing, to be grateful, and to never give up. They remind me that life is so much bigger than me and that every interaction has the potential to make a true difference in the lives of others.

Your home should be your sanctuary. It should inspire you. It should be a place of peace, rest, and beauty. It is the place where you should have the freedom to be your most authentic self.

In order to create an environment that uniquely welcomes you, fill it with items that bring you joy. A little creativity, coupled with good stewardship, can allow you to transform any house into your personal sanctuary (within any budget).

What small changes can you make today to start creating your sanctuary?

Perhaps you need to declutter or deep clean. Maybe you have some family photos or letters to frame. Perhaps you light your favorite candle or rearrange some furniture.

Whatever it is, do something beautiful to honor yourself and your environment.
